Common questions

  • We pay per problem or data point — the more you produce, the more you earn. There's no upper limit. Rates vary by project but typically range from $100–$300 per data point.

  • You work at your comfort — when and where you feel like it. There are generally no deadlines. In rare cases where project delivery is urgent, we may ask for a minimum weekly contribution to stay on the project.

  • You produce a problem in plain text along with the expected correct response. Your submission is then graded by our AI pipeline for difficulty and vetted by expert reviewers selected from our top contributors. If everything passes, you get paid.

  • If you can think of yourself as being in the top 5% in the world in any field, the answer is likely yes. If you're not sure, look at the project requirements and apply — we'll review your profile and let you know if the work is a good fit.

  • Application decisions are made within one business day. If an interview is needed, we'll decide within a few hours of the interview. Interview scheduling rarely takes more than 3 days.

  • This varies by project, but generally no — submitted work becomes exclusive data, which is what labs require from private datasets. That said, we can't chain your mind. You're always free to take inspiration from your work with us in your future research. Rejected problems are yours to keep and reuse.

  • Yes. Our experts span every continent — from Japan to Cuba. We support international payments and will most likely support your local bank. If we don't yet, we'll add it.

  • You can always challenge a rejection. In that case, the reviewing expert and a mediator will go over the problem with you on a call. We do not retain rights over rejected problems — you're free to reuse them however you like.

  • You must be legally authorized to work in your country of residence. Check your local laws.

  • Most countries allow minors to work with guardian consent. We provide a consent form that your legal guardian must sign. We take the protection of minors seriously — we ensure their identities are safeguarded and that they are protected from any form of harm on our platform.
